Dr. Rachel Whynott joins the RMG physician team at the Brandon/Riverview and South Tampa locations - Summer 2021
Dr. Rachel Whynott is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and is subspecialty board-eligible in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. She is an exciting new addition to the RMG physician team.
Dr. Whynott specializes in treating patients with infertility, advanced laparoscopic fibroid surgery, endometriosis, recurrent pregnancy loss, endometriosis, age-related infertility, gender dysphoria, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), and tubal reversal surgery. She has clinical expertise in intrauterine insemination (IUI), in vitro fertilization (IVF) and fertility preservation including egg freezing.
Dr. Whynott has a special interest in advanced operative laparoscopy, DaVinci robotic surgery, and hysteroscopy, especially for the management of fibroids and congenital uterine anomalies including uterine and vaginal septums.
Dr. Whynott received her undergraduate degree from Miami University in Ohio where she graduated Cum laude and Honors with distinction. She graduated from the University of Toledo College of Medicine (UTCOM), and she received her residency training in Obstetrics and Gynecology from Tampa’s own University of South Florida where she was the Administrative Chief Resident. Dr. Whynott completed her fellowship training in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of Iowa. She joins The Reproductive Medicine Group in 2021.
She is a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG), and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL).*
In her free time, Dr. Whynott enjoys the white sands of the sunny Florida beaches, playing with her fluffy dog Stormy, traveling (when not in a pandemic), and is passionate about using social media to reach and educate her patients, and patients all over the world.
